As of 15th June 2017 roaming charges within the EU will be scrapped – all texts, calls and data usage will be taken out of your existing monthly package, meaning no more surprising expensive post-holiday bills.
Negotiations between the European Parliament, ministers and the commission agreed “the end of roaming charges in June 2017. When travelling in the EU, mobile phone users will pay the same price as at home, with no extra charges.” (Agreement to end roaming charges from June 2017, 2015)
All EU members are included within this ruling however various networks are including non-EU countries such as Turkey and Norway.
